Instructions and Documents to Bring on the Day of the Fair
Principals do
their own hiring for Brevard Public Schools, and they will all be
conducting interviews and hiring on the day of the fair. You will
have the opportunity to interview with the school you are looking to
work in if they have available positions. On the day of the fair,
available positions will be posted by each of the schools
represented. The information you
provided in the online registration will be made available to the
principals prior to fair,
so register today!
Note:
Teachers that are currently employed with the district and
seeking a transfer should not register or attend the career fair
as they must comply with Brevard Public Schools request for
transfer procedures.
Be professionally dressed and prepared to interview! You must bring
the following documents to the fair. (Printable Version)
1)
No Child Left
Behind – Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) Form
2) Resume
3) Copy of your teacher certification information, such as tests
results, transcripts, certificates and/or Florida Statement of
Eligibility.
*Each qualified candidate will be limited
to two (2) interviews and if time permits, you may seek a third.
Be sure to
bring several copies of your resume' to distribute to principals
on the day career fair.
Incentives
If you meet the all
criteria listed below, then you will receive an additional $2,000
sign on bonus and assistance with relocation expenses should you be
relocating.
Criteria for
receiving incentives:

Your subject area
is on our list of
critical shortage areas.

All of your
certification and reference information are checked with
positive responses.

You are a first
time employee with Brevard Public Schools.

Completed all of
your coursework and an internship.
-
Hired at the June
20, 2008 career fair for the 2008-2009 school year.
*Note all of the criteria must be met in order to receive the
sign-on bonus and relocation assistance
